Oh, look - Elizabeth Warren is running for President.

Raise your eyebrows if you are surprised.

Not surprised, but I continue to think she can do more good where she is at present; I've written her before saying so, for whatever that is worth.

Perhaps she is running for several reasons, among which might be:

1. It's good for someone to put a stake in the ground. From here on, contenders need to establish them as being more centrist that she is or more progressive than she is.

2. General popularity of Democratic candidates improves the campaign. Nobody wants another chance to elect a competent mediocre candidate whose primary virtue is that they are nowhere near as horrible as a median Republican.

3. If the horse learns to sing, that's pretty good too.

Well, it’s interesting. We shall see what happens.

I like much of what she stands for. I am hoping that, as with Bernie’s 2018 candidacy, she moves the party in a progressive direction.

I like her very much. My neighbors hate her as much as they hate Pelosi & Clinton. But they're all feeling victimized for the crime of having voted for someone liberals hate (this is not a joke, they are feeling extremely persecuted by reality) and have expressed they won't make that mistake again, so there's hope.
